Our hands are exquisitely sensitive. Some ancient wisdoms say each of us have hundreds of points sensitive to energy in the hands alone. This makes a certain amount of sense - our hands are our sensory gateway to the world around us. Newborn babies will instinctively grab and explore the world around them, even before their eyes are developed. Ancient Indian spiritual traditions call these lines of sensitivity Nadis, and where these lines meet in a hub, are called chakras**.
Get That Energy Moving!
To awaken the nadis in your hands, simply slap and rub them together until you feel the energy charge in them, like a tingle.Â
As a fun exercise, try moving them slightly apart, then very very slowly pushing them together again. Can you feel that very tiny amount of resistance? That’s the energy your hands are now producing, interacting with each other.
Most of us need no more proof than this to understand that our bodies produce an energy field that is not visible to our naked eye, but is something we can experience and know nonetheless.
How do you know if a stone needs cleansing?
You ask it!
While your hands are nice and charged, pick up a stone or crystal next to you. Grab your journal and jot down any thoughts, feelings, body sensations or knowings you have about that crystal.
Then turn your attention to the clarity of the crystals energy. We all have a different way of doing this. It may look like a question, Do you need cleansing? Or it may just present as a knowing that the crystal needs something. Or perhaps you will have a spontaneous thought about what to do with it, like, you may see an image of yourself running the crystal under water or putting it in dry salt. Or you may receive a message that there is nothing needed from that crystal. Whatever comes to you, jot it down.Â
Then make it a habit to return to that crystal here and there, going through the same process.
Even if you do not get much clarity the first time around, it may come as you repeatedly work with the crystal.
